锐钛型钛白粉化学性质极为稳定,是一种偏酸性的两性氧化物。常温下几乎不与其他元素和化合物反应,对氧、氨、氮、硫化氢、二氧化碳、二氧化硫都不起作用,不溶于水、脂肪,也不溶于稀酸及无机酸、碱,只溶于氢氟酸。但在光作用下,钛白粉可发生连续的氧化还原反应,具有光化学活性。在紫外线照射下锐钛型钛白粉尤为明显,这一性质使钛白粉既是某些无机化合物的光敏氧化催化剂,又是某些有机化合物光敏还原催化剂。 Anatase titanium dioxide is a kind of acidic amphoteric oxide with extremely stable chemical properties. It hardly reacts with other elements and compounds at room temperature. It has no effect on oxygen, ammonia, nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide. It is insoluble in water, fat, dilute acid, inorganic acid and alkali, but only in hydrofluoric acid. However, under the action of light, titanium dioxide can undergo continuous redox reaction and has photochemical activity. Under ultraviolet irradiation, anatase titanium dioxide is particularly obvious. This property makes titanium dioxide not only a photocatalyst for photooxidation of some inorganic compounds, but also a photocatalyst for photoreduction of some organic compounds. |
