二氧化钛的相对密度随其结晶形态、粒径大小、化学组分、特别是与表面处理量大小有关,在制造过程中,随煅烧温度的提高和煅烧时间的延长而增长。在常用的白色颜料中,二氧化钛的相对密度最小,同等质量的白色颜料,二氧化钛的表面积最大,颜料体积最高。锐钛型二氧化钛的相对密度3.8~3.9g/cm3,金红石型二氧化钛的相对密度为4.2~4.3g/cm3。
